INSURANCE RESTORATION
Insurance restoration in Yakima, run by people who know the claim
Water, fire, smoke or mold damage turns into a claim file. CRC does the restoration and deals with your insurance company, so the job and the paperwork line up.
Chapter 01
What a homeowner's policy usually pays for
Most homeowner's policies pay for repairs and reimburse you for damaged clothing, furniture and appliances. The common restoration claims fall into a few groups: a roof damaged by fire, hail, a storm or a falling tree limb; outbuildings such as sheds, garages and guest homes; water damage from floods, leaking plumbing, broken appliances and major storms; mold that follows water; and fire, smoke and soot damage.
What your policy actually covers is written in your policy, and it differs from one to the next. Check your policy. Read the sections on water, mold and outbuildings in particular, because those are the ones people find out about late. We cannot promise coverage, and nobody who has not read your policy can.

A kitchen drydown in progress, with a centrifugal fan, hoses and a tool kit on the carpet. CRC's process includes taking photos for your insurance company.
Photograph and document the loss before anything is thrown out
Claims are won and lost on the record. Before you discard a ruined rug, a wet cabinet or a stack of drywall, photograph it from a few feet back and then up close. Photograph the source of the water or the smoke if you can find it safely. Keep receipts for anything you buy to get through the first few days.
When CRC does a water job, the first visit is an inspection and assessment, and the crew takes photos for your insurance company. That record is part of the work, not an add-on. The same goes for the drying data and the list of what was removed.
Call your insurance company early. Ask what they need from you, and ask what they need from the contractor.
Chapter 03
Who is on the other end of your claim
The line on CRC's home page is "We deal with your insurance company." It rests on more than a slogan. Jesus Gonzalez of CRC holds a Washington independent adjuster license from the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, in the property and casualty lines. He has also earned The Institutes' Associate in Claims designation.
That is working knowledge of how a claim is built and what an adjuster looks for. It does not make CRC your insurer, and it does not decide what your policy pays. The crew's job is to dry, repair and rebuild the damage, and to hand your insurer the record it needs.
CRC's van wrap says it too: 24/7 Emergency Response and Insurance Claims Specialist.
